If you have been keeping up to date with the Government Guidelines, you will have heard the great news that all social restrictions within the UK have been removed as of July 19th, 2021. No longer do we need to concern ourselves with guest limitations at events, social distancing rules and many more changes we'll cover in today's post.
Social Restrictions Removed | Corporate Entertainment 2021
Before we break down what's changed, one thing we must emphasise very clearly is these changes apply strictly to the UK only. Wales, Scotland and Ireland have their own rules & guidelines with their own Governments monitoring them. Changes in the UK do not apply to other countries. Their restrictions are easing within the upcoming weeks, but until then it's important to understand that only the UK has had their restrictions lifted. Now let's break down how the lifting of social restrictions opens up opportunities for corporate entertainment and other social gatherings.
No Limitations On Guests
There are no longer limitations on how many people you may have attending your event. This applies to outdoor parties, weddings, funerals, concerts, theatres, sporting events, religious events and many more. If you have any upcoming events that you were forced to postpone due to limitations on how you can invite, you no longer have to be concerned. There are no enforcement rules on captivity anymore. Because there are no limitations, you no longer have to worry about maintaining the one meter distancing rule between households. You may mix & mingle with whoever you choose. Nevertheless, we still advise caution.
Face Masks Are No Longer Enforced
While there are still a handful of stores and transport services who can set their own rules for customers and passengers, the good news is most places are no longer enforcing people to wear face masks by law. You may still wear one if you feel comfortable doing so, but you don't have to worry about breaching any laws for not wearing one in certain places.
Table Service Has Been Removed
Indoor hospitalities such as venues, pubs and restaurants no longer need to offer table-serve only. You may come and go inside as you please. This also means you are no longer required to check into a venue using the NHS Covid app, although you may still do so if you desire. This also means you can hire out a hospitality venue to host any upcoming corporate parties you may have planned for a while now.
